Pink and Orange Elephants

The colors for Julie's baby showers are pink and orange and the theme is elephants. Here is the elephant from her invitations:

She pinned this elephant baby shower inspiration board, so I found the stuffed elephant pattern online and made two of the tiny elephants with just a couple alterations.

First, I added 1/4" seam allowance all the way around the shapes. Second, I used the button hole stitch for the eyes since these are the tiny elephants and the oval stitch would have been too big.

This elephant has a different fabric on the back on the ear
because I didn't have enough orange for both sides:

Flannel Owl Blanket

My first project on the new machine! I'm pretty sure I've had this owl flannel for at least 5 years, so I decided I should finally turn into something. An easy blanket seemed like a good test project for the new machine.

Crane in a Bottle

For quite a while, Amanda was folding and mailing me cranes. So many in fact, that I decided to make them into a mobile. However, this one (#221) was too tiny to include. For a long time it sat on my desk, but I was always worried about losing it, so I decided to protect it. I found these tiny bottles at Hobby Lobby. The bottle is 1/2" in diameter and 1" tall. The crane fits perfectly inside. I added it to my bulletin board. Now I must find more tiny items to fill the other bottles!
