I found out my two STAR babies are getting another sibling, and, even though I don't yet know if it's a boy or girl, I was inspired to start a baby quilt. If it's a boy, I'll send this to another little girl and make a little boy quilt. I have a lot of pink fabric, so boy quilts are a bit more of a challenge than girl quilts.
New items purchased to complete this quilt: none
Finished size: 36"x48"
ETA: I ended up making a boy quilt for the new STAR baby.

Dresden Plate Rainbow
I'd wanted to make a Dresden plate block for awhile, and I finally got around to it. I don't have the special ruler to make the pieces, so I just cut them all individually. Since I wanted to use 8 colors and have 16 spokes, the math worked out nicely. They actually came together more quickly than I expected. When I pieced them together, however, they unfortunately did not lay flat in the center and I ended up with a bit of a Dresden cone, but I was able to rectify it. I planned to stitch it in place using the clear nylon thread I'd used for the dragonfly quilt, but it was giving me fits, so I wound 8 different colored bobbins and sewed each spoke individually.

Picture Frame Bulletin Board
I decided to make myself a mini bulletin board out of an old 5x7 frame, since I had some cork left over from some project that I can't even remember. A while back I had purchased a set of make-your-own buttons that you cover with fabric, so I finally committed to picking some fabric and making them into push pins as I had intended. Now I can keep better track of sale items at Joann's, rather than losing the flyer in the back of my craft tray. It was also perfectly timed to display my new LWA badge, which is pinned with one of my star straight pins.

Craft Tray
When my mom sent me this tray a couple years ago, I wondered what I was going to do with it. However, it has come in handy for collecting my crafting tools like scissors and rotary cutters. It's designed to display photos, but I never bothered to put any in.
Finally I decided I might as well make it a bit prettier, even if I don't usually see most of it, so I put in some stamp themed scrapbook paper and stickers.
It sits on the keyboard tray of the desk where my cutting mat lives, so it's very convenient, but here's how much of it I actually see, if the tray is pulled out all the way:
