Crazy Nine Patch Blocks
I am very pleased with how these blocks turned out! It only took about an hour to do each set. I am amazed at how precise most of the intersections turned out, considering the odd angles. I think I'll sash the green set with navy. I'm not sure about the orange set yet, but I'm leaning towards bright blue. I'm also going to piece some strips to add between the rows so they won't turn out square.

Crazy Nine Patch Prep
I have wanted to do a crazy nine patch for a while, but it stayed on the back burner as I struggled with color combinations. My original plan was to incorporate all six primary and secondary colors into one block, but that wasn't working. These are the two color pallets I came up with, entirely from my stash:
I'm starting out with 12.5" squares. These fabrics have all been folded a while, so it required a lot of ironing. They look so nice together like this, I hope the blocks end up looking nice too!

Three More Stars
After not sewing for over a month, I had a spurt of productivity this weekend and finally finished the last 3 star blocks that I started in October!
They ended up being 15" square. I am going to have to investigate alternative pink fabrics before I decide how I want to finish it.
Finished project.

One Year Anniversary
Today is the one year anniversary of Crafter without a Cat! If I had planned better, I'd have a spectacular project to reveal, but such is not the case. To commemorate, I'll link to my first post, and my 100th post, which I didn't celebrate at the time. Yesterday's post was my 200th post.

Surprise Fabric in the Mail!
Yesterday I found a package waiting for me when I got home! My aunt had sent some Christmas goodies, along with this fabric. She had purchased it in October for my 11 year-old cousin. Apparently he had wanted to make something, but this wasn't the "right kind" of material. Well I love the eyes! I am looking forward to coming up with something fun to make with it. I also love the blue print, which is flannel.
